Dr. Amit Bhushan Sharma, a renowned cardiologist at Paras Hospital, Gurugram, has received multiple awards for his excellence in interventional cardiology. His contributions to heart care and research have been widely recognized in both national and international platforms.

  • Dr. Sharma is first cardiologist practising in India, who is an expert in newest procedure of value replacement without surgery (TAVI).
  • Expert in Combo device, Implantable cardioverter defibrillator (AICD), Biventricular device implantation.
  • Pioneer of Trans catheter Aortic Valve Replacement (TAVR) in India without general anesthesia.
  • Expert in MITRACLIP
  • First cardiologist in the country to have implanted largest ASD device 42mm in the country, (closed hole in heart without surgery) video of which is available on Youtube.
  • Best teacher award in cardiology division in 2009 in Hyderabad Dr. Sharma is vice president of TACVI (Training academy of Cardiac and vascular interventions) and has been teaching the art of angioplasty and device ciosures to over 500 cardiologists not only from India but from south east Asia, Middle east and United states.
  • He kick started the paras cardiologist programme first ever TAVR done in 2016. Now has more than 30 TAVR to his credit and done without the help of general anesthesia.
  • He started the world's smallest pacemaker, Micra programme in 2017 and has trained more than 50 cardiologists from all over India and from South Asia, Middle Cast for Micra training. Under his leadership in Paras hospital, he started the latest generation rotablation called ROTA PRO which has recently been launched in India.
  • He was among the first in the country, started with shock wave lithotripsy in care of calcified blockage, hence avoiding bypass surgery.
